    • Now available on DVD & Streaming (played cinemas nationwide Fall 2015): Austin made his nationwide feature film debut in a principal role opposite stars Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie in Leslye Headland's romantic comedy Sleeping With Other People! "SWOP" premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival (where it was acquired by IFC Films); it also played at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival (where it was runner-up for the Narrative Film Audience Award!) and many other film festivals. SWOP played in cinemas nationwide Fall 2015 and is now available on DVD & Streaming!

    • June 2019: Filmed a supporting principal role in a feature film, sang as a guest soloist in the NAAProject Chorus' The Music of Lerner & Loewe concert, and participated in several new musical readings, including a principal role in Helen - NYC and PA

    • April 2019: Principal roles in readings of Better Letter for NYU's graduate theatre writing program, short play Take Me On for PlayGround SF, and Chonburi International Hotel & Butterfly Club for Williamstown Theatre Festival - NYC

    • May-July 2018: Played Bobby Bob/Ju Ming (principal/supporting) in the world premiere production of the new David Henry Hwang & Jeanine Tesori "play with a musical" Soft Power for Center Theatre Group - West Coast tour (Los Angeles/Ahmanson Theater & San Francisco/Curran Theater)



    • Fall 2017: Austin made his first television Guest Star appearance as expert witness Dr. Muller on "Bull" episode 202 ("Already Gone") on CBS - watch it free for a limited time at (mobile requires CBS app download)

    • Fall 2017: Austin made his Carnegie Hall debut, as a principal actor in "The Journey to America / Ellis Island: The Dream of America" with the Orchestra Moderne - NYC

    • April-June 2017: Performed in director John Doyle's Off-Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures as a principal actor (Boy in the Tree, British Admiral, Lead Sailor in the Garden) at Classic Stage Company - Off-Broadway, NYC - Named a "Critic's Pick" by the NY TIMES!     • Spring 2017: Austin played his first recurring television role (also his "major network" debut), as a principal role on Season 2 of "Shades of Blue" on NBC (episodes 204, 207 & 208!)
    • October 2015: Austin made his nationwide feature film debut as a principal role in Sleeping With Other People (with Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie)

    • September-October 2015: Austin made his official Off-Broadway debut in Iphigenia in Aulis at Classic Stage Company - Off-Broadway, NYC

    • May 2015: Austin made his episodic television debut as the principal role of "Rakim" in the TV Land sitcom "Younger" (episode 107)!

    • March 2015: Austin made his film festival personal appearance debut, at South By Southwest (SXSW), for his supporting role in the movie Creative Control (which won a Special Jury Prize for Visual Excellence, and was subsequently acquired by Amazon Studios for theatrical and digital release in 2016!)

    • Jan 2015: Austin made his major film festival debut at Sundance, appearing in a principal role in the film Sleeping With Other People (which was subsequently acquired by IFC Films and released in theaters nationwide in 2015-2016!)

    • May 2013: Selected as BackStage Magazine's "Member Spotlight" for the week of 5/16 (be sure to "view the slideshow" to see the full 5-page photo spread & interview!)

    • Jan-Feb 2013: Austin filmed his first TV principal role as Evan on the NBC sitcom pilot "Assistance" (starring Krysten Ritter and Zach Cregger) in NYC; he also received a producer callback for a series regular role on an ABC drama pilot in Los Angeles!


    • 2012-2013: Austin performed a principal role in the International Broadway Tour of Tony-winner David Henry Hwang's comedy Chinglish (Translator Bing, Judge Geming), directed by Leigh Silverman and starring Michelle Krusiec, and he received a StageSceneLA "Scenie" award for "Best Lead Ensemble in a Touring/Visiting Production" (Chinglish also won the award for "Best Touring/Visiting Production, Play")

    • 2012: Austin was nominated for a New England Area IRNE Award for Supporting Actor in a Musical - Large Theater (Thuy in Miss Saigon at Ogunquit Playhouse earlier that year, starring the also-nominated Jennifer Paz)
